Join our Kickball team!

Want to play some friendly kickball?

I'm trying to put together a team to play on a summer league. We'd be playing on Wednesday nights and the league starts the first week of June.

It's a little pricey ($70) but registration includes 8 weeks of play, a donation to charity as well as beer at every game. For more information check out the website: http://www.kifac.org/kickball.html Some friends did this last year and said it's super fun without being crazy competative.

If you're interesting in playing on the team email me at amanda (at)firstuniversalist (dot)com before April 23rd.

ps - you should totally ask me for the story about the guy in the above picture...it's a good time.

If you weren't at service today...

...you missed the choir doing an amazing version of this song...

...the only thing that would have made it better is if it had been complimented by weird interpretive dance.

Unrelated: Don't forget - Theology on Tap is tonight at Rack House Pub at 7pm!

Join us at the improv!

Let's go out for a few laughs to see Fusion Improv Comedy @ the Bovine Metropolis (1527 Champa Street in LoDo). The first act will explore extreme characters in normal situations or normal characters in outrageous situations. The second act will take you into a whole new world where the actors could become and create anything. Let's meet up for a slice of pizza at Two Fisted Marios beforehand (at 6:30). Improv starts at 7:30. For full details check out the website here.

March Calendar of Events

Frozen Dead Guy Days - Saturday, March 6, 2010
Ok, so I didn't get my act together time for us to enter the coffin race (and we would have won, I'm small!). AND it's terribly late notice...BUT it does look fun. If a group of people want to get together on Saturday (this week 3/6/10) and head up to Nederland to check out the festivities I, for one , would be happy to go. Check out the details here and email me if you're interested:
http://www.nederlandchamber.org/events_fdgd-events.html. No set plan but if you're interested in going email amanda@firstuniversalist.org

First Sunday Brunch - Sunday, March 7 at 10:30a
This month we'll be checking out Le Central. Why? Because I've never had their brunch...and we're fancy like that (ok, it's not that fancy, I'm just a broke law student so I like to pretend). Le Central is located 112 E. 8th Ave., Denver, CO. Parking isn't ideal so we'll be carpooling after the first service (meet at the welcome desk around 10:30). Last month we had a great turn out...if you plan on coming this month let me know and I'll try and put our name on the list so we don't have to wait too long. RSVP to amanda@firstuniversalist.org. Le Central's brunch menu can be found here: http://www.lecentral.com/ourmenu/menu.html

Theology on Tap - Monday, March 15th at 7p
We'll be discussing this month's worship theme of Creation back at Rackhouse Pub on Monday, March 15th at 7:00pm. Rackhouse is located at 208 S Kalamath St. If you have questions or carpooling needs contact me at amanda@firstuniversalist.org

Taize Style Service - Monday, March 22, 2010 7p
A prayful music-centered worship service. For more info email John at john@firstuniversalist.org
